Who are we and what do we do?

The PIE Foundation is a nonprofit, tax-exempt corporation that is chartered by the State of Illinois and governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board is composed of business, community, and education leaders who share a deep commitment to educational excellence. The Foundation is operated independently of the beneficiary school districts’ Boards of Education.

The Foundation raises funds for educational programs which are not within the districts’ normal operating budget. To support inspired education in our programs, donate online or mail your tax-deductible contribution to: Partnership For Inspired Education, P.O. Box 5438, Villa Park IL 60181.

Where does the money come from?

The Foundation obtains its funds primarily from individuals and businesses. Funds may also be obtained from other foundations. The contributions may be general in nature or may be designated to support a specific School District or project.

What is the money used for?

Decisions are made by the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The use of the funds is consistent with the mission and goals of the Foundation. The Foundation solicits and encourages activity and project suggestions from a wide audience, including: District Faculty and Staff, District Administrators, District Alumni, and Community Members
